Stronger Together - Support Pours in for COVID-19 Community Response Fund The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin in partnership with United Way of Marathon County opened the COVID-19 Community Response Fund to address the local needs of nonprofits in our area this past week. Since the opening of the fund, both organizations have been met with a tremendous amount of support, raising over $160,000 within the first week. The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin distributed $94,800 through the Community Arts Grant Fund, providing funding for 25 visual and performing arts programs for local organizations, including summer drama camps, local festivals, painting workshops, artist residencies, and community performances. Funding for the Community Arts Grant program has been provided through the Wisconsin Arts Board, a state agency, the B.A. & Esther Greenheck Foundation, and the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin’s Wausau Marathon County Fund.
