The Thomas Allen David Memorial Fund
In 2002, Paul and Patty David were searching for a way to create a memorial for their son, Thomas. Seeking a local trusted organization, the family turned to the Community Foundation to make their hopes a reality. Creating the Thomas Allen David Memorial Fund was the beginning of a trusted relationship between the David Family and the Community Foundation, fulfilling their desire to impact our community while carrying on the legacy of their little boy.
Over the past 19 years, the Community Foundation, having a solid pulse on the community, has helped guide and direct the family to fund causes close to their hearts. “Creating the fund has opened our eyes to the many needs among us right here in central Wisconsin. It has strengthened our faith in the generous and caring nature of the residents of our communities. The willingness to lend a helping hand is strong in our area,” stated Thomas’s mother, Patty David.
The opportunity to support the community through the Thomas Allen David Memorial Fund has continued to bring the David Family together over the years to reflect and give in his memory. As the family looks ahead to the future of our community, Thomas’s father, Paul says, “We are a close-knit community that genuinely cares about the welfare of our neighbors. Maintaining a sense of community is a challenge in this day and age. Still, we are confident that our collective caring and generosity through the Community Foundation will continue to make a positive impact on so many.”
Establishing a donor advised fund is a flexible and straightforward way to streamline your charitable giving. We handle all the administration of the fund so that you can focus on your giving. Whatever your giving goals might be, the Community Foundation is here to help you make the most of your philanthropy.
