Establish a Fund
Setting up a named charitable fund is easy to do and can be completed in less than a day.
After you have reviewed the Fund Options and selected the fund that works best for you decide what type of contribution you would like to use to establish the fund. A gift can be made using cash, appreciated stocks, real estate, or other assets.
Next you will select a name for the fund. This can be in your own name, the name of a family member or business, in honor of an individual, or any name that defines your fund.
You will designate a fund advisor if it is someone other than yourself to manage your fund
A simple letter agreement will be signed defining the terms and conditions of the fund
Once the fund is established, you may:
- Add to the fund at any time in any dollar amount.
- Specify how grant disbursements are to be acknowledged: in the name of the fund or anonymously.
